Singaporean bowlers Joey Yeo and Daphne Tan both failed to make the cut for the Asian Games women's step-ladder final yesterday, finishing fourth and fifth respectively after the women's masters.
Yeo's 3,837 total was just 10 pins short of South Korean Lee Yeon Ji's 3,847 score, while Tan posted 3,808.
Japan's Mirai Ishimoto (3,948) topped the standings with South Korea's Lee Na Young (3,854) second, ahead of compatriot Yeon Ji. In the step-ladder final, Ishimoto pipped Yeon Ji to win the gold after the latter defeated Na Young, who took the bronze.
